HSQL Version 2.6.0 Released

A new version of HSQL database back-end, Version 2.6.0 has been released. It can be downloaded from the link below ( a ZIP file of 10,775,868 Bytes ):

Hello,

one additional hint: The release-notes show the support to open hsql1.8 was dropped last year with ver 2.5.1

So, if you have still databases in the original AOO-format,
you should convert them before upgrading with an intermediate Version.

PS I guess to use later versions than 1.8 as embedded database lacks portabitlity anyway, as the receiver of this database would also need the newer system installed.

Currently, there is no safe way to embed anything other than HSQL 1.8. LibreOffice tries to intoduce embedded Firebird with no satisfying results.
