Hi I am wanting to convert my embedded base to a split base in order to allow two users over a lan.
There is lots of rather daunting material on these forums, some of which is 7 years old.
I am able to create a new split base called Split_HSQLDB_2.3_Wizard_v3d.odb
Can I just drag the tables,forms,queries from my embedded base to the split base?

Ok, somehow I got this right. Not sure how. As I am unable to detail the steps I don't think it should have a solved tag. In case someone else queries this.

[Python] Macro to extract and reconnect embedded HSQLDB
Backup your database file (just in case)
Create a directory where you put the right hsqldb.jar
Install the macro (one click).
Open your Base with embedded HSQL.
Call the macro. It converts your existing document.

Ok so I am guessing that converting my embedded database to a split database is the reason why I now cannot edit any of the tables?
