[Solved] Form edit - select multiple fields

Post by Yumi »

When forms are getting a bit full, I want to move a block of features to create space. It is tedious to click every one by one with the mouse. Is it possible to select all the fields in an area with the mouse?

Hello,
yes, while you're in Form-Design-Mode, select menue View/Toolbars->make sure "Form-Design" is checked.
Looks like this:

Click on the top left arrow, then you can select all desired controls with a rectangle by mouse.

A multiple selection can be done with Shift+Click. Ctrl+Click selects a single element that it is part of a group where a simple click would select the whole group.

If you follow the advise given above the selected controls will be surrounded by a selection boundary with 6 green handles. If you right click inside that boundary and select Group from the popup menu, all the selected controls will be bound together and can be moved as a group.
