[Solved] New math objects created with wrong size glyphs

Post by jdpipe »

Hi all

When I create some formulas in my documents, they initially appear with things like '+', '=', '-' and other decorations such as overdots (like {dot Q}) in a smaller font size.

When I reopen the formula and select alt-O-O and press enter (to open the format-->font size dialog, and then accept without changes) and then close the formula again, the correct sizes are then rendered. But I must do this every time I create a new formula.

What would be the cause of this? Is there some setting that I've got wrong somewhere?

Cheers
JP

Same as your other problems, I'm quite sure that using the official version of OOo instead of the Ubuntu version should fix it.

I will endeavour to check the Sun OOo package to see if this bug still exists there.

In the meantime, I have reported
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/273488

Seems to be possible to workaround this bug by creating a new formula, then opening the Font Sizes dialog, then clicking 'default' (without making any changes).

Update: this workaround seems to work for a little while, but then the problem comes back again, no idea why though.

Problem appears fixed in recent Ubuntu 8.10 update.
