[Solved] Operation signs screwed up

Post by jlbcs »

Hello,
a while ago I started writing simple math formulas with OO. Was nice and help make pleasant presentations.
Recently I installed OO 4.1.5 on one PC. Now my formulas are very strange and hardly readable. Example from the online help do not work as in the manual.
In the attachment you can see the disaster.
Can you help ?
Thanks and regards

Check the fonts used - wrong font is all that's wrong.

Some other application, or perhaps even a Windows update, may have overwritten the OpenSymbol font which Math uses for al the special math symbols.
See this thread for a possible solution.

Thank you Keme. The thread you pointed me to was the correct and complete answer.
Quote:
The OpenSymbol font is included with AOO and LO, not Windows. Open the Fonts folder. If the OpenSymbol font is missing. Repair/reinstall AOO to install the OpenSymbol font.
Unquote.
From the installation file I picked up the Opens___.ttf and add the font. It works fine now.

Bottom question: why the installation process did not do that ???
Best regards.
