Hi all
I would like to write some stuff like "m-dot prime subscript p". I have used the syntax
{dot m}'_p
but it causes the 'prime' to take up horizontal space, such that the subscript 'p' is in a silly spot.
In Tex syntax, the nice solution is to use the '\prime' character, e.g. {\dot m}^\prime_p which works nicely. But it appears that neither 'prime' nor '%prime' are defined in OpenOffice.
Any suggestions?

Re: 'Prime' character?
Try: {dot m}binom{'}{p}
You can use the equation editor for some graphical help (menu View>Selection).

Re: 'Prime' character?
That's not much good either, I'm afraid. See attached, which corresponds to the following input:
{dot m}binom{'}{p} " " {dot m}_p' " " {dot m}'_p " " {dot m}_p^{italic "'"}
{dot m}binom{'}{p} " " {dot m}_p' " " {dot m}'_p " " {dot m}_p^{italic "'"}

- No nice way of doing primes: {dot m}binom{'}{p} " " {dot m}_p' " " {dot m}'_p " " {dot m}_p^{italic "'"}

You're absolutely right.
