Hi,
A few examples of the problem I'm experiencing: If I write "%alpha" the result is "alpha", not the actual letter alpha. More bizarre, "/" turns into a mail box!
It used to work fine, but I made a system recovery (XP 64) the other day and I believe that caused the problem (at least the two events correlation in time). It was not long ago since I installed OO, and I might have reset the system to before OO was installed. Would it help to re-install OO? Any other alternative solutions?
Not sure if it's relevant, but I also recently updated JAVA.
Hope you can help me solve this issue.
Regards,
Pingen

Re: Bizarre characters
You could try un-installing and re-installing. Do you have the same fonts on your system that you used to?
Also you could consider Resetting Your User Profile.
