[Solved] How to insert floor / ceiling symbols?

Post by martin08 »

Hello,I've searched the Formular guide and howtos but failed to locate the information on how to insert the floor and ceiling symbols. Can anyone please show me a way to do it? Thank you. Martin

Not that visible in the documentation it seems but it has been already implemented: Issue 44670 - 'Floor' and 'Ceiling' functions should be added to formula:
Having a look in the OnlineHelp helps:
Choose help for OOo math and type "floor" into the index-search-box. OOo will suggest "floor brackets" -> display the topic and you can read:
[...]
To insert floor brackets, type lfloor <?> rfloor directly in the Commands window.
To insert ceiling brackets, type lceil <?> rceil directly in the Commands window.
To insert scalable floor brackets, type left lfloor <?> right rfloor directly in the Commands window.
To insert scalable ceiling brackets, type left lceil <?> right rceil directly in the Commands window.
[...]
Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
