Brackets Help

Post by mitchjb2008 »

I'm trying to do a multi-line bracket, with 3 or more lines of text. I'm having a problem with the "newline" command because I keep getting question marks in the formula after I insert the "newline." I have a feeling I'm not using the newline function correctly, can someone help me out?

OOo Math requires that brackets be matched (both left and right must be present, or 'none') and no matches are allowed across a 'newline' command. So, you can't use 'newline' to stack stuff that's to be bracketed.

Instead, you use the 'stack' or 'matrix' commands. E.g.
