Using keyword as variable-name

Post by Decimad »

Hi there!
Normally Math parses alphabetic strings as variable names. However, I need the keywords 'right' and 'left' as variable names, which get parsed as keywords. When I use ""'s, the displayed font does not match the usual variable font and the string is not aligned properly for fractions. How can I switch off keyword parsing for certain strings?

Best regards,
Michael

I think your only choice is to use quotes around it. You can do something like ital "left" for each instance, or change the character attributes for text elements under Format > Fonts to make text and variables look the same--that will affect every text element.
