Symbols libraries
Symbols libraries
Are there any symbols libraries I can add to Libreoffice Draw that contains house furniture, fireplaces, office furniture and the like? How would you add it to the Draw program?
OpenOffice 4.1.1 Windows 7 or 8.1
Re: Symbols libraries
There are extensions containing various drawing shapes and cliparts in svg or other formats.
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/application/draw
And there is an older OxygenOffice gallery extension. That extension contains some architectural elements too.

Or you can import (insert) pixelgraphic or vectorgraphic images from other sources into your drawing document.

Re: Symbols libraries
You can find symbols and/or outline drawings on the websites of manufacturers of the furnitures.
But it is possible that the AOO / LO can not handle the (.dwg or other) file formats shared by the manufacturers. You must convert them to a supported fileformat (vectorgraphic: dxf, svg; pixelgraphic: png, jpg) before you insert them into a Draw document.
And there are some symbol libraries for the LibreCAD in the supported .dxf format here:
http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/Part_Libraries
"Google is your friend."
(Or you can create (draw) use and share the desired symbols. Be a volunteer of the OpenSource community.)
