Post by Jim Hood »

[Solved] *Edit would not allow me to change the subject* Any idea why"loading component library failed" comes up when trying to add PDF Import 1.0.4 to Draw?

For one thing, 4.1.1 is not listed in the Compatibility list.
Compatibility:
3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4

Also please note that the PDF import extension, for all versions, has had very mixed reports.
Most people, that install it, do so for Writer... there have been several reports of it not working, and even the version that is supposed to be compatible with 4.x has a user rating of less than 50% for compatibility.

Look at the main page for PDF import on the extensions repository. The second line down is a link for OO 4, which leads to v1.0; v1.04 is linked only for OO 3.
Here is a direct link for the OO4 version

Thank you for pointing out the compatibility of the pdf import extension. I missed that which is what led me to here. All good now. :)
FYI -I became a user in here just to post this thank you.
