Post by BarbaravanStraten »

Hi All

We are trying to get a transparant text box (inputfield) in a PDF form
The control does not have the option to make the field transparant
Please advice

Do you want to create a pdf form with the Draw application?

Can you upload an example file here?

You must not fill text into a PDF.
First you fill in the text, then you export to PDF. There are many ways to do this. Having a list of names and courses, you can print certificates for hundreds of people into one new document and then export that document to PDF.

Here it is what we want to do:

First we make the certificate which looks like in the picture bellow:

Image

As you can see there are 2 white fields(text box fields) they are automatically filled on our e-Learning platform and they need to be text field form control.

We want to make them transparent because of our watermark behind.

Is it more clear now and have any suggestions ?

Thanks

I see. It's a drawing with a form connected to the database of your platform. Are you sure that the document looks better with the text written over the wavelike logo? The only solution I can think of right now is a Writer document with mail merge fields instead of form controls.

If we use mail merge fields we need to have data source right? We don't have access to database of e-learning platform, we just use redefined fields names given by them which are automatically recognized and filled by system... What do you think now?

I don't understand how you get data into the form controls without database connection. Copy&paste? Keyboard input?

The system automatically recognize our fields names and fill them. We are just using the system.
