[Solved] Save photos as jpg extensions

Post by dav de »

RESOLVED-THANX

I have limited experience with Libre Office 4.4 on my Windows8_OS desktop computer. I want to save photos to DropBox as jpg extensions that were taken either with my cell phone or Canon digital camera originally stored in these devices as jpg extensions. When I attempt to "Save As" my format options do NOT include a JPG option. My choices are limited to ogd file extensions. Is there a way save photos to jpg extensions within LibreOffice Draw and if so how can I do this? thanx

The LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice are not picture manipulating sotwares.

You can EXPORT some document contents into jpg format, but you can not save a whole document into image formats.

Sorry, I misspoke saying I was using LibreOffice, I am actually using LibreOffice Draw. It is exclusively a photo & image manipulating software. When I click on "Save As" the format options are only "ogd" extensions with no mention of JPG or GIF extensions being available.

Try File > Export ...

From there you can choose an image format.

Use the "EXPORT" function as acknak suggested.

No. It is a vectorgraphic drawing software, but it can handle bitmap-based pictures too.
And 'yes': You can export whole page (but not the whole document) from Draw into an image format.

The exported file will contains your pictures with a reduced resolution. Try it if that resolution is enough for you.
