[Solved] export to jpeg: regression in draw 2.4 ?

I often export my drawings to other formats (mostly jpeg)
usually I selected all the shapes in my drawing (with CTRL A) then exported the drawing.
the ensuing image was only of the size of the selected area.
this does not seem to work anymore in draw 2.4: the image has the size of the whole page!
any hint?

Stiil works fine here. Make sure you check the box on the export dialogue that says "selection".

Did you double-check that the "selection" option was selected (checked) in the export image file dialog?

That option should really be on by default if you do FIle > Export when there is a selection active, but I just tried an export using 2.4 and I had to choose "Selection" manually, after which Draw exported only the selection, to PNG or JPEG.

BTW, JPEG is not ideal for storing images like drawings that have lots of lines and sharp edges; it's really designed for photographs. You should get better quality drawing images using a lossless format like PNG.

how stupid I was: in my previous version the "selection" option was turned on ....
then as a real dude I didn't realise this was not the case now!!!!

That's what I remember also, but I don't have my earlier versions available just now to check.

I think it should be the default, and I can't find any issue specifying this change; perhaps it was changed inadvertently.
