Offensive topic moved to Quarantine

Post by floris v »

viewtopic.php?f=49&t=76229#p347050

OP is way over the top using sms speak and offensive language on top of that. Besides, his first post is so long it makes you want to stop reading. Prime example of a troll. Gave him a permanent ban. Of course, one of the moderators can reduce the ban length if he thinks that the OP is capable of improvement.

Agreed. Maybe not the best solution but needed here, I think.

Anyone understand what the gripe is with "gradients"?

I asked for clarification and a screenshot and got abuse - 4th posting in the thread,, as far as I remember. Off the top of my head I suspect that the gradients originate from some customised screen theme.

Thank you for removing these offensive posts and banning the user. I was considering asking a moderator to do that. In general, posts by unhappy people are fine. Often they have unrealistic expectations for the software and there can be some good discussion about goals and how to achieve them. But the posts by gradientssuk will help no one since they are incomprehensible, and is it unlikely that any volunteer will want to feed this particular troll.

Do we need to archive these posts somewhere, in case the poster complains of unfair treatment?

Posts in the quarantine area will be deleted automatically after a few days.

Good point, Maybe contact the Apache observers right away and ask for their opinion. Or make a separate archive forum section for this kind of thing.

My instinct is that this poster might attempt to create trouble, so I am in favour of the posts/threads being archived. If they are stored off-list it would be sufficient - such cases are so rare I doubt we need to make a special section for them.

+1. We can create a dedicated section for that in the private area. Let's see if such topic pollute the main section.
