[Solved] Forum email out?

Post by acknak »

Someone contacted me by email to say that they could not register for the forum--no email recieved. They tried another email and had some friends try to register ... no emails.

I checked my forum account with the "force reactivation" option on the admin control panel, and then tried a new registration: no emails.

I think there's a problem with the forum email ;-)

Any idea what we can do?

I can confirm the problem on the ES forum too: no notification for PM or forum subscription are sent. Until yesterday everything worked just Ok so something changed today.

I just posted a question on the dev mailing list about this problem.

The problem is really big: NONE of the email services (mailing lists, bug notifications...) from the project are working. I'll try to contact someone by personal email.

It may be more than a problem local to Apache. Forum and email traffic has been way down all week, I don't know why.

May be related to the AOO Bugzilla sending out thousands of emails for old notifications. <They> (whoever that may be) were working on that problem.

It seems everything is working now (at least, I received the notification for the previous message on this thread ;) ).

Was indeed a mistake, corrected afterward.
