Apache OpenOffice Community Forum

Now that 4.0 has been released, is it perhaps time to remove the Writer Guide for 2.x and Calc Guide for 2.x links in those respective forums? This would remove some clutter and might encourage people running very old versions to upgrade. The documentation would still be available in The Apache OpenOffice Documentation Project.

I agree. I've removed the 2.x links and added a new sticky in the Beginner section to keep the history: Documentation.
