[Solved] Forum header..
Hi,
One of items on my list is to fix the landing page...really need to get that done quickly now.
Along with that perhaps it's time to think about a new header image...and to break the ice on that subject Ideas / comments / nerf darts :->

Re: Forum header..
Nice one, but I'd add a bit more space between the words "Apache" and "OpenOffice".

Re: Forum header..
Nice one. But are the screens really necessary?
Shall we discuss the banner text too? I'd like to remove all the list and replace it by something more global like "User community support forum for Apache OpenOffice and all OpenOffice.org derivatives".
I would have changed the place of the feather:

I would have changed the place of the feather:
LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Xubuntu 23.10 and 7.6.4.1 portable on Windows 10

Re: Forum header..
Perhaps - the base image is what I'm submitting (proposing) for for an interim official logo. It's a bit squeezed I realize but it is a rather wide bit of text to fit in smaller images i.e. 100px, which is required here and there. damn, need to get that done tonight...floris v wrote:Nice one, but I'd add a bit more space between the words "Apache" and "OpenOffice".
This is the ice breaker for use here however- so please pass the word around, the other forums for example, and let's see what other graphic ideas show up.

Yes I think text change is appropriate..Hagar Delest wrote:Nice one. But are the screens really necessary?

Re: Forum header..
I'd reduce the feather a little and place it over the Apache, so that the two logos were over their appropriate words. This would allow the Community Forums line to be expanded to match the Apace OpenOffice line in length, which might look nicer from a typesetting viewpoint. The two lines of type might need to be dropped slightly in the frame to allow the logos sit nicely.

I would lose the globe. It says nothing and is a waste of space.

Re: Forum header..
+1
On looking closer, I feel that the colouring of the Community Forums text is now linked to the Apache logo, so that it'd seem that the forums are more closely linked to Apache than OOo itself. We're an independent set of forums, kindly hosted by Apache, that was the agreement, wasn't it?
