Hi

I'm running Libre Office Version: 5.2.3.3 on Windows 10 and on a work file I'm getting message:

File format error found at
SAXParseException: '[word/document.xml line 2]: Attribute w:eastAsiaTheme redefined
', Stream 'word/document.xml', Line 2, Column 104268(row,col).

Document fails to load whatever I do - worked fine yesterday.

Can anyone help?

Many Thanks
Ian

G'day, and welcome to the community forum.

[Tutorial] Format error discovered in sub-document will give you instructions on how to repair the problem yourself; if you are not confident that you can undertake the repair, upload the document and someone will attempt the repair for you.

[Forum] How to attach a document here Note maximum file size is 128K. If your file is larger, use a file sharing site such as Mediafire and post the link here.

Hi Thanks for such a quick reply - I'm afraid I'm not technical at all so I've posted a link for the file here from Mediafire if someone could help correct the file that would be great been working on it for a week.

I have sent you a PM
Edit: I've sent a hopefully repaired version of your document; I'd strongly suggest you save your document in native ODF format - .odt - and only save in a foreign format when you need to send it to someone who can't read ODF files. I understand the MS Office from around 2007 can read ODF.

See [Tutorial] Differences between Writer and MS Word files for why you should always work in and save files as .odt.
