[Solved] LibreOffice File format error found at SAXParse

Post by Mulla »

Hi,
I realise this is a very old post, but I have the same problem as stepsnz had:

Indelingsfout in bestand op positie
SAXParseException: '[word/document.xml line 2]: Attribute w:themeShade redefined
', Stream 'word/document.xml', Line 2, Column 70655(rij,kolom).

(which is in Dutch, but it's same)

I tried downloading the Word Viewer as mentioned here, but it still won't open.
I have LibreOffice 5.1 and Windows10.
I'm hoping acknak or someone else can help me out as well?
Would save me a lot of work to start all over creating this document...

Other tips are of course welcome as well.
Thanks in advance! :super:

Oh wow!
That's amazing and superfast!
Thank you so much, you've seriously saved me so much work (and inevitable mistakes in a remade schedule)!
I would love to know how you can fix such an error this fast, but it probably requires software knowledge I don't have ;-)
Thanks again! :super: :super: :super:

There are a couple of topics that cover repair of such documents: [Tutorial] Format error discovered in sub-document and [Hint] How did I fix my ODT file

The BEST solution is to avoid needing to do it at all:
• save your work in OO's native, standard ODF document format (.odt for text)
• make a backup copy in a new file anytime you change the document significantly. This could be a dozen times a day; it depends on what you're doing and what you can afford to lose (do over).
