[Solved] Ctrl S for Save doesn't gray out the save icon

Post by Malibu »

Hi,

I'm not sure this is the correct place to ask about LibreOffice Writer. If not, can someone point me to a Libre forum?

The problem: Ctrl+S for Save doesn't cause the save icon in the toolbar to become grayed out:

as it does in OpenOffice:

Is there a setting to make the icon appear grayed out after saving? When it's not grayed out, I don't know at a glance if I saved recently or not.

Thanks

LibreOffice version 5.1.4.2

I just noticed that on the Save icon (before I save), there is a tiny yellow star or sun. So I guess that's a clue whether the doc was saved recently or not:

This appears to be an "improvement" made by LO. The save icon now has a low-visibility "star" added to the save icon instead of graying out the icon.
