Assigning shortcut keys

Post by garrymo »

The fix for enabling RECORD MACROS worked for both OO and LibO BUT the ability to use the saved macros to assign shortcut keys only worked in OO and NOT for LibO.
In OO the macro recording and saving then using that to assign shortcut keys works fine however in LibO even though the RECORD MACROS works, when the assigned shortcut keys are used they only cause drop down menus to drop down. ALT+A is assigned for á but to use it causes the TABLE menu to drop down. The same thing with all the assigned shortcut key combinations, just different menus drop down.
How can it be that it works in OO but not in LibO?

[This seems specific to LibO, so I moved the topic here]

Please, could you give a step-by-step description of your recorded macro (e.g.: special character á).
Assigned via Tools > Customize > Keyboard?

BTW: Two short tests with (recorded macro for) á and (assigned to) Alt+A worked fine for me with LibreOffice 3.4.3.
