OO Presentation out put

I cereated a slide in the handout .ppt format but when I went to print it was blank. The pdf export is blank also. How come?

While .ppt is a recognized file format for an Impress document, it is a Microsoft format, and, therefore, not guaranteed to be 100% compatible.
Try using the OpenOffice Impress format, which uses the .odp extension.
If that still doesn't work, use the PostReply button and the Upload attachment tab/dialog to upload copies of your files to the forum.
Please note that the .ppt file may have difficulties being attached to this forum. If you encounter that problem, put the file into a compressed file (.zip or .rar seem to be the most common) or upload it to a file sharing service like Dropbox or MediaFire so that we have the ability to examine the file you are starting with.
