Using a link to a video on your PC or on the internet
You can also insert a hyperlink in a presentation which points to a video file on your PC or on the internet. You play the video by clicking the link which opens your browser or your PC's video player and plays the video. The links work if you export the presentation to a PDF (but not button links - only text links).
See Re: Inserted video has wrong format which has the two example files below and has a discussion.
The links were inserted by Insert > Hyperlink ... See [Solved] How do I edit an existing hyperlink for how to edit a hyperlink. Strangely it uses the Insert > Hyperlink ..., dialogue as is used to insert the link and there is no separate Edit Hyperlink ..., dialogue. Also Using hyperlinks in Chapter 3 of the Impress Manual or hyperlinks or links in Help.
Edit: The sample Impress file has been corrected and so I created a new PDF from it. Both work as expected. |
