Timer total duration? display

Hi, I'm not sure what this is even called. When I go to slide show the larger timer numbers show the duration of each slide as it's playing. Above that is a smaller timer that appears to show the total duration of the slide show. The first time I played the show it started at 0, but now every subsequent time I play the show it starts from where it left off previously. I've closed and restarted impress, but somehow it still remembers the previous end time, and starts from there. I would think that it would be obvious that people would want the total duration timer (or whatever it's really called) to start from 0 every time one restarts a slide show. Since that's clearly not what's happening, how do I zero it out? I've searched everything with no luck. thanx in advance.
