Utilizing Impress in a specific way

Post by Flyndad123 »

Hi Guys,

I was hoping someone with a little more experience than myself could help me achieve what I wanted to do with impress.

I would like to create several different slides. (I can do this, no problem)

Then I would like those slides to show up, full screen, on a separate display. (Still no problem as I have discovered how to set that up)

Here is the kicker: I would like to be able to select these slides in ANY order I choose, and do so "on the fly" so to speak ... When I go to "Slideshow" I am forced to go one by one in the order they were set up in the undocked thumbnail window. I would still like to use the thumbnail window (or something equivalent) but just click on the thumbnail and have it go full screen on the second display then click on another slide have it go full screen on the second display replacing the first image, and so on. Is there any way to achieve this using Impress?

Thank you for any input .

Just some tips for workaround:

Export the slides into picture format files, and then
- handle the pictures with a pure file/image manager software.
- manage the pictures with a simple HTML code/page.

- Export the slides into PDF format and use a PDF viewer, what has thumbnail function,

- or use the Edit mode of the Impress (with a high zoom factor value) - instead of running the slideshow.
