Is it possible to use bibliography in OpenOffice Impress?

The story behind it:

Im trying to do some presentation for my course at the university with OpenOffice for the first time. I've been doing this kind of stuff using Latex+BibLatex until now.
I would like, however, to use OpenOffice in this case because it is supposed to be easier and not as time consuming.

I have a lot of pictures and graphs that need to be referenced properly but the program dose not tell me how to import the bibliography from citavi or a .bib file. Let alone
how to implement the citations into my slides.

I've been trying for hours with no success (on writer it works acceptably) and i did't find any forum entery on that matter (surprisingly so).
