odp file "format error found..." please help

hello, i've been working on a presentation for my hospital commitee and now i get the message "format error found in.." and can't open it. i've already tried some things i read in this forum like converting to zip, modifying content.xml file but it doesn't work.
I'd be really grateful if anybody could help me
OpenOffice 3.1 on Windows Vista / NeoOffice 2.2.3 with MacOS 10.4 / OpenOffice 2.4 on Ubuntu 9.04

Can you make the original file available on a file sharing service such as dropbox? You did make a copy of the file before attempting to repair it?

It is very difficult to help you without seeing your .odp file.
Please share it.


Or use one of the working backup files. Have you some backup files, haven't?
(Always create time stamped backups of your important document...)

Please post the exact words of the error message you are getting.

Upload the file here (128kB max) or to a file share site so someone can look at it.

If you are getting "Format error discovered in sub-document" and you want to fix it yourself see [Tutorial] Format error discovered in sub-document

If this solves the problem, please view your first post in this thread and click the Edit button (top right in the post) and add [Solved] in front of the subject.
