Lost Presentation - Help needed

Postby kervongrant » Thu Feb 02, 2017 7:35 pm

I was working on a presentation today when I closed the application and re-open it. The presentation was no longer an impress format but it was saved in a text format and all the text was in a series of xxxxx. Is there any way to get back my presentation.

Thanks

To attempt to recover your lost file see
[Tutorial] How to find and un-delete Writer temporary files
for instructions on how to identify and un-delete the temporary files Writer wrote while you were editing the file, and then deleted. You may be able to recover some, all or none of the file, depending on many factors, including how much use your computer has had since the power failure - the filespace used may have been overwritten.

Edit: The archive that is your file is damaged. I doubt anything usable can be recovered from it.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.6 on Xubuntu 18.04.3 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP
