[Solved] Making a presentation file small

Post by fmcmahon »

I have an open office impress presentation file that keeps crashing. I know I can make the file size smaller but I don't remember how.
At what point should I compress the file. When it is part done? When it is finished being built? When?

Thank you.

I figured it out. Just a matter of remembering what it is called. The solution is tools/minimize/optimize.

It is best to keep an unminimized copy of the file, in case editing/extension is required. The minimize function is so quick it is best to make a freshly minimized version each time, rather than edit/extend an existing minimized version and reminimize - its quality can deteriorate.
