[Solved] Presentation won't save my changes

Post by Altolong »

New OpenOffice user. I'm using Presentation (4.1.2) on Windows 10. Every time I make a change to the font, paragraph, or alignment, then I click where I want to type, the program reverts back to default settings.
For example: I change font type and size from Arial 44 to Times New Roman 22. When I click back to the body, it says "Click to add text" again and my changes are back to Arial again.

Do it the other way: write your text, select it, then apply the new parameters to the selected text.

@RoryOF, it worked, thanks.
I've got other questions too.
1) Shapes. Currently, I have to draw the shape and then insert the text. Is it possible to do it text first, then shape?
2) When I insert arrows and then realign the paragraphs, the arrows stay where they are. Is there a way to move the entire thing (with the arrows) without having to delete the old arrows and make new ones?
