How to remove unwanted sound files?

Post by krishnaswamy »

how to remove unwanted sounds from impress?

I have version 4 of open office.

I have created a presentation for vowels.

When i created another presentation for the consonants... the sound files of vowels are there.

How to remove them?

Can some one help?

best,
krishna

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

How do you know the sound files are there?

As far as I know, OO Impress does not embed media files in the presentation file itself. Whatever appears in the slide, you should be able to select and delete as usual.

Dear Sir,

Actually what i did was... I saved the vowels file as consonants and removed the images and added new images as consonants. When I tried to input relative sounds ... I couldn't

remove the old sound files from the other sounds menu. If those old sound files are there it will confuse my client.

My wonder is how to delete the previous sounds which I had added as other sounds to impress.

Kindly clarify. I can mail you the impress file if you want to see?

Sorry, I've never used sounds in a presentation myself, so I'm not sure I can give any specific suggestions.

If you can cut the presentation down to a couple of slides, it should be small enough to attach the file here (make sure you work on a copy of the file!). You can use the "Upload Attachment" link (below the message entry area after you click "POST REPLY"). For tips on posting large or confidential documents, see: [Forum] How to attach a document here

hopefully someone more experienced with sound effects can make a suggestion.

Dear sir,

I have print screend the images and added as slides.

Kindly have a look,

Am I right or is it some temp files in the directory causing the old sound files to re appear as we start the impress with previous settings?

In any which case I want this be removed for me to complete my assignment.

best,
krishna
