[Solved] Image export

Post by keneso »

Hi

how can I save/export the images in each slide?
I don't mean saving the slide as image, but extracting the images of the slides.

Thank you

The only way I know of is to use a zip archive utility to extract the "Pictures" folder from the document. This only works for .odp files, not at all for .ppt files.
 Edit: PS:
Note: this produces a folder named "Pictures" containing all the images in files, such as:
Pictures/100002010000005000000050C4B4F4FC.png

So it's a bit of a chore to sort out which image is in which file.

Thanks.
I guess I am out of luck then, originally was .pptx, and I opened it, and saved copy as .odp and there is no pictures folder.

Seems like that should work. Are you sure there are images on the slides?

If you need the slides as images, that's a different situation.

Thanks.
I am pretty sure, anyhow I attach a sample (2 slides only) for you to check and confirm.

I know how to save the slide as image using export, but that's not the case, though it will be as extreme solution, export as image, and edit in photoshop.

Ooohhhh ... I see it just now. I didn't know I should unzip the .odp, I thought I had to see the .odp file, AND the pictures folder.

I just misunderstood the unzip suggestion, looking for a zip file.

I just unzipped the .odp file, and saw all the folders created.

Thank you

Good work. I hoped just showing the list would make it clear what to look for.
