Hello,
I am attempting to use Impress' callouts, under the drawing toolbar.
Is there a way to create a callout without a border around the text? I know this can be done in other software...

After drawing the callout, you can right click on it and select Line. On the Line tab of the dialog set the style to none.
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint

I have tried that but it also gets rid of the line/arrow...
However I found that I can use a "connector" and attach it to text.
