I am creating an Impress presentation in which I have 2 slides, a "before" and an "after". The "before" has an image in the slide top left corner, the "after" in the bottom right. Is it possible to make the "after" slide slowly appear "through" the "before" slide?
I have looked at "Slide Transition" and set the transition speed to slow but this does not seem to work.
I am using OO 4.1.1 with Win 10.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: How to fade one slide into another?
Make a sample file of two or three slides to experiment with. Turn on the Sidebar, click on the fifth icon down on the right of it (Slide transition should pop up when you hover over it). Select the slide you want to transition to, and pick Fade from the selector on the Transition sidebar. Pick a transition speed. Now try Slideshow.

Also it is a good idea, when the presentation is complete, to use /Tools /Minimise presentation to prepare a copy optimised for projection. Only do this when complete for the projection copy - don't keep minimising minimised copies - discard such working copies and return to the main file.

Re: How to fade one slide into another? SOLVED
Thank you very much, you are right - it worked perfectly. One detail, on my list of transitions the action is labelled "Fade Smoothly", not "Fade".
Very grateful.
