I am unable to find the equivalent of MS Power Point on Open Office even though I thought it was there when installed.
How can I put it up/retrieve it/find it? Help would be appreciated.

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!
The presentation application in OO is called "Impress". It should be on your desktop menu, next to wherever you find OO Writer and the other applications. If you're not finding it there, you can start it directly from OO Writer, using the menu: File > New > Presentation ...
