Opening Saved File

Post by robertkt »

I created and saved an OpenOffice presentation file. After saving and closing the file the following occurs when trying to reopen the 25 MB file:
1. The file opens in Impress and at the bottom it shows there are 10 slides, however, the slides do not appear in the OpenOffice Impress screen; or
2. The file attempts to open in PowerPoint even though my PowerPoint temporary account has expired.

What is the solution? Thanks for any help

What was the format you used when you saved the file? Impress files, by default, have a .odp extension as PowerPoint files have .ppt or .pptx extensions.
If you saved the file using .ppt or .pptx, then that may explain the problems.
If you saved it as a .odp file, however, then I'm at a loss... Sorry
