Dear community,
I was impressed by OOs ability to display top quality charts in earlier versions.
Tonight, I tried to create a chart wiht the example numbers given when you click on the chart button.
I changed ´the type of the chart to 3d, chose realistic rendering and selected cylinders instead of rectangular bars.
After I changed the size of the object to make it larger, the resolution seems to stay the same - the chart becomes not crisp sharp but blurry showing rough lines and not smooth ones.
When I doubleclick on the object, it get rendered again and the lines/shapes are smooth and nice 3d. When I click outside the chart object, it is rendered again but unfortunately in the same low resolution as before.
What did I do wrong?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Problem with realistic 3d chart (2.3.1 german version)
Re: Problem with realistic 3d chart (2.3.1 german version)
Nothing you did is wrong.
OOo recently changed to a re-written Chart module, and it's 3d output quality is not so wonderful. As I understand, it's waiting for the re-write of OOo's core graphics libraries to be completed. Until then we're stuck with what you're seeing. The only workaround is to use a 2d chart, revert your OOo back to the older version, or use some other software to do your charts.
