Jumping to top slide/image

Post by jeffmol »

Since downloading the new version of Impress ... Impress consistently changes the selected slide AWAY from the slide being viewed in Viewer -- to the top / #1 slide.

For example,
When viewing Image #4 in Slide in Notes view, switching to Slide Sorter view changes the selected slide to #1
When viewing #7 in Normal view, switching to Slide Sorter view changes the selected slide to #1

This is HUGELY annoying. It's obviously a bug?? in the new version.

Thanks.

Viewer 'jumping' in new v. of Impress (Duplicate)

Post by jeffmol »

The latest v. of Impress is jumping. The selected slide re-sets/jumps to #1 when viewing any slide image in Normal view or Notes view... then switching to Slide Sorter view or Notes view, the the selected slide is no longer the slide being viewed -- Impress jumps (changes) the view consistently to #1

Help!

I thought I was doing something wrong until I searched here. It's still doing it in 4.1.1

It really is annoying when you're down at slide 30 to suddenly find you're back at the start.

Can anyone do something about it?

Has a fix been sorted for this yet? Not finding any follow up or mention here, other than this thread.
Have reloaded the OO program, but still getting the 'jump'. Thanks

Anyone have a fix, I realize I am on a later version than previous posts but it is happening for me on 4.1.2 still. Really rough on a very lengthy slideshow.

Upgraded to version 4.1.2 on a Mac 10.9.5 - delighted that the developers fixed image drag & drop issue - but alas, the slides are still affected by the jumpy-bug

Is it possible to get round this with a macro? Determine the sheet selected then activate it - should be simple but I'm not good with OO macros as they are over complicated; I'm more used to the 'old' vb6 ones.

Perhaps use the Navigator?
