When text containing accents is rotated (any angle) and the slide is exported to pdf (default options), the "special" characters cause the text to be misplaced in the pdf.
Example:
"Plantes en présence de saccharose sont montrées ici"
Results in:
"Plantes en pr
é
sence de saccharose sont montr
é
es ici"
(imagine the text rotated)
this with openoffice.org-core 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3

Re: pdf export: text rotation with non standard characters
Hi and welcome to the community!
This behavior sounds quite odd to me.
Can you post an example (both .odp file and resulting .pdf file) showing the problem?
Also, could you maybe try to get the current version 2.4.0 from the official download site and install it?
Maybe the problem does not occur in the current version.
KR, phil

I cannot reproduce using Arial in Oo 2.4 so more information is needed. What font are you using?
