Access MS powerpoint

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.

What Operating System (version) are you using? windows xp
What is your question or comment? How do use OOo to open powerpoint forms and e-mails? A friend has said it is possible but the only route I could follow was through Impress. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, the equivalent of Powerpoint is indeed Impress. But no relation with emails. Presentations are either .pps or .ppt files in the MS Office format.
