Postby squid42 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 8:42 pm

Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using? XP
What is your question or comment?

I created an animation in Impress and followed the instruction in the Help to export it as an animated gif but it only exports and saves the first frame! Help!!!

Can you post the Impress file? Do you remember what options you chose when you created the (presumably blank) presentation? How did you set up each frame? Did you follow "Creating Animated GIF images" or "Exporting Animations in GIF format" or both? Or some other instructions?

There is an Impress user guide, too. See the link to PDF manuals in my signature. That might come in handy.

It's a known bug: Issue 81610: Exported animated gif doesn't animate.

You can register there and add your vote (up to two) or comment.

There is a workaround given there also: just use an archive utility to extract the animated image from your .odp document file.
