[Solved] Revealing Sub-Points Progressively

Post by Byrongman »

Hey all!

Is there any way I can get Open Office Impress to reveal my subpoints in progression, instead of giving everything away when I transition the slide?

So I would like to be able to do this:

Transition to new slide, displaying only Title.

Click to display Subpoint 1
Click to display Subpoint 2

Ect...

Right now the whole page just appears when I transition from slide to slide.

Sorry if this is really dumb, I searched the forums and the help section for topics on subpoints and couldn't find any.

BTW I'm using 2.4 RC 1.

1) Select the text box with your outline points
2) Assign an animation to it: Add > "Appear"
3) Click the effect options button: "..."
4) Text Animation > Group text: By 1st level paragraphs

You probably also want to clear the "Animate attached shape" option: it means you need an extra click to make the first item appear.
