Just installed OO2.3 after having problems using "Save As ..." Powerpoint presentation (PPT)
I have Microsoft Office XP installed. Every presentation I create as ODP and then save as ppt results in an error message when attempting to open it in Microsoft Powerpoint 2002 (10.6819.6830)SP3.
"Powerpoint can't open the type of file represented by <filename.ppt>"
I've attached a zip containing a very simple test ODP which I saved as PPT.
Is this function "broken" or am I missing something?

Re: ODB2PPT Save as Powerpoint
I was able to open your ppt-document in MS-PowerPoint97.
Please try the following procedure:
- Right-click the ppt-file at your harddisk.
- select "Open with" Microsoft Power Point for Windows.
This works fine for me MS-PowerPoint97. (I do not have a newer release).

Re: ODB2PPT Save as Powerpoint
Hans - Thanks for getting me to have another look at this!
For anyone else who runs across the same problem - My mistake was doing the save from OO-Impress and then trying to open it immediately with MS-Powerpoint.
Turns out that OO-Impress was still holding a lock on the created powerpoint file. Unfortunately, MS-Powerpoint just give the misleading error message I quoted in the first message.
Once OO-Impress is closed MS-Powerpoint opens it with no problems.
