Is there a way to convert?
Better yet, is there a way to convert from Writer in portrait to Impress in landscape?
Thanks

Convert from Writer to Impress?
OOo 3.1.X on MS Windows Vista
Re: Convert from Writer to Impress?
JODConverter might be worth looking at

The obvious method is to open an instance of Writer and another instance of Impress and to cut and paste from one to the other. A presentation usually requires different consideration of your layouts and data than a text file.

If you have used the built-in heading styles, you can try File > Send > Outline to Presentation.
Just don't be too surprised if it doesn't do anything--the function seems to be very unreliable: it works for some people and not for others.
