[Issue] Sounds Do Not Loop

I am using OO.o 2.3.1 on a Windows XP SP2 machine. When I assign a sound to a slide and check the box to have it loop - the loop does not work. No other slides are assigned a sound. I usually have an MP3 file for a music background but WAV files do the same thing - play once through then stop.
Is there some other parameter somewhere that I am missing?

I posted to a similar Q about a week ago. There is an open issue in Impress to do with looping on any animation or action. Basically there is a known bug here which means that this is a known issue. If I recall correctly a fix is planned for 3.0

Is it that one? Issue 78386 - XPlayer does not support looping sounds.

I thought we would have had more threads about this problem.
