Will Keyspan remote work?

Post by jerwilkins »

I have a presentation coming up and I'd really like to put Impress through its paces. I've been meaning to pick up a new presentation remote and I'm planning on getting this one:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... 00006BAH2/
(Keyspan PR-US2 Presentation Remote)

Does anyone know whether this (or any remote) is well-supported by Impress? I'd love to get it ordered today.

See PR-USB2 Presentation Remote | Compatibility. Impress uses basically the same keys as Powerpoint in show mode, including some that are not documented (such as - to end the show) but omits some of the less frequent ones (such as holding down both mouse keys for a couple of seconds to go back to slide 1). If you have access to Powerpoint help search for "Keyboard in both and check for yourself.

So the answer is probably. If you do a Google on "Keyspan PR-US2 Impress" you will find reviews from OOo users who have used it for Impress, so basic functionality seems to be there.
Ubuntu 11.04-x64 + LibreOffice 3 and MS free except the boss's Notebook which runs XP + OOo 3.3.
