Hide text after an amination

Hi,
How do I hide a text after an animation? I've tried the effect alternative that says "hide after animation" but that didn't work.
I'm trying to create a Jeopardy scoreboard so I want the text boxes to disappear after they've been chosen.

I think that a presenter app is not the right software to do this game.

When clicking on, let's say, 100, it will change slide to a question (or, more correctly regarding Jeopardy, an answer), then when sliding back to the scoreboard, it's possible to create an animation that makes the 100 disappear by clicking on the text box. But when repeating that (clicking on another number to another slide and then going back to the scoreboard), the 100 is suppose to stay hidden, but it's not.
