[Solved] Slide's Not Advancing

Post by Steve5 »

Using Libre Office:

I have my laptop hooked up to a monitor. I have it set to "Extend" so I can see the slide, notes for that slide and the next slide on my laptop, with only the slide on the monitor. But when I click to advance to the the next slide, it advances on the monitor, but not my laptop. Why isn't it advancing on my laptop?

I realized that my right-click was disabled in the touchpad settings. So I clicked the box. But when I click, or tap, it's still not advancing on my laptop (while hooked up to the monitor). When I unplug the monitor, I see the slide on my laptop, but when I tap or click, I get taken back to my Notes page and a blank window appears, which eventually fills out to be the "Next," "Previous," "Go to Slide" window.

Thanks.

Does it move if you press the Page Up/Page Down buttons?

It's working correctly in Open Office.

In Libre Office, clicking or tapping on the arrows doesn't advance the slide on my laptop - but they do advance on the monitor. The other buttons - Close, zoom, restart, etc. - don't work either, but "Exchange" works.

I also have a wireless clicker, that's not advancing the slide in my laptop either.

In the Slide Show settings, I checked the box to "Change slides manually," didn't work. And I switched the display setting from "Auto External (Display 2)," to "Display 2 (external)." That didn't work either.

Should I try uninstalling it and reinstall?

I do have the 64-bit version.

Useless if you don't reset the user profile.

If the problem still occurs, you have maybe found a bug.
Note, that >LibO 7 is "fresh" ( :? ) and not the stable release.

I uninstalled it and installed the older version, 6.4.7.2, and it's working. The slides are advancing on my laptop.

Not old but stable.
A good behavior will be to report this on Bugzilla. This advance the project too.
